Events
Review individual scans and see when, where, and how each scan happened.
Events shows individual scans. Use it when you want the details behind the totals and charts in Analytics.
What Each Row Shows
An event can show:
- time
- QR code name
- approximate city, region, and country
- device type, browser, and operating system
- the website that sent the visitor, when available
- the page GeoQR opened
Location is approximate and may be unavailable. Device and referring-site details can also appear as Unknown or Direct or unavailable when GeoQR cannot determine them reliably.
If the QR code was deleted after the scan, the row says Deleted QR code. A row that cannot be matched to a known QR says Unknown QR.
Filter Events
Choose a date range, then narrow the list by campaign, tag, QR code, location, device, browser, operating system, referring website, destination, routing outcome, or client category. You can use more than one filter at a time.
- Routing outcome shows why GeoQR chose the destination, such as a device rule, country rule, or default destination.
- Client category separates requests GeoQR identifies as human, machine, or unknown. Recognized machine requests are excluded from Events before filters are applied, so selecting Machine will normally show no results.
Selecting several values in the same filter includes any of those values. Adding a different kind of filter narrows the list further. If a scan seems to be missing, clear the filters and add them back one at a time.
Older Scans
Use the page controls to move through results and change the number of rows shown at once.
How far back you can look depends on your plan. If your selected dates start before the oldest stored scan, GeoQR shows only the available period.
Scans older than your plan's storage period are permanently deleted. Upgrading later cannot restore scans that have already been deleted.
Privacy and Interpretation
GeoQR does not store the visitor's raw IP address or the full technical identifier sent by their browser. Location and device details are estimates, so do not use an event row as proof of a person's identity or exact location.
