# FAQ (/docs/troubleshooting/faq)

## Does a New Organization Need Payment Details? [#does-a-new-organization-need-payment-details]

No. New organizations enter GeoQR on the permanent Free plan without checkout or payment details.

## Does a Free QR Stop Redirecting After 2,500 Scans? [#does-a-free-qr-stop-redirecting-after-2500-scans]

No. Free shows up to 2,500 scans in Analytics each month after recognized automated traffic is removed. The QR code continues to work after that limit is reached.

## Can I Belong to More Than One Organization? [#can-i-belong-to-more-than-one-organization]

Yes. Use the account menu's **Organization** section to switch active workspaces.

## Why Can I See an Area but Not Use an Action? [#why-can-i-see-an-area-but-not-use-an-action]

Check your role and the organization's current plan usage. After a downgrade, GeoQR may also keep a QR code or domain live while temporarily preventing edits.

## What Happens to Live QR Codes After a Downgrade? [#what-happens-to-live-qr-codes-after-a-downgrade]

QR codes above the new plan limit remain live, but you cannot edit them. Upgrade, or ask an owner to delete enough unused QR codes to restore editing. Deleting a QR code stops it from working and cannot be undone.

## How Are Device and Country Rules Prioritized? [#how-are-device-and-country-rules-prioritized]

GeoQR checks device-and-country, device, country, and then the default destination.

## Does Assigning a Campaign Enable UTM Tracking? [#does-assigning-a-campaign-enable-utm-tracking]

Yes, when the campaign has tracking labels. They apply by default to assigned QR codes, and you can override individual values on a QR code.

## Are Campaign Planning Dates a Schedule? [#are-campaign-planning-dates-a-schedule]

No. Planning dates are organizational context. Configure a temporary destination schedule on the destination itself when scan behavior must change during a time window.

## Are Analytics Dates Based on My Account Timezone? [#are-analytics-dates-based-on-my-account-timezone]

No. Analytics days use UTC, a universal time standard. This can differ from your local day.

## Why Is a City or Referrer Missing from a Breakdown? [#why-is-a-city-or-referrer-missing-from-a-breakdown]

GeoQR hides city and referring-site groups with fewer than five scans to protect privacy. Location or referring-site information can also be unavailable.

## Does GeoQR Store Raw IP Addresses for Estimated Unique Scanners? [#does-geoqr-store-raw-ip-addresses-for-estimated-unique-scanners]

No. GeoQR creates a privacy-friendly daily estimate without storing raw IP addresses. It is an estimate, not an exact count of people.

## Can I Use a Custom Domain on Free? [#can-i-use-a-custom-domain-on-free]

No. Custom domains are available on Starter and higher plans.

## Can I Save More QR Codes Than My Plan Limit? [#can-i-save-more-qr-codes-than-my-plan-limit]

No. Every QR code is active immediately after creation and counts toward the plan limit. Delete an unused QR code or upgrade before creating another.

## How Do Email Verification and 2FA Differ? [#how-do-email-verification-and-2fa-differ]

Email verification uses a six-digit code that expires after five minutes. Two-factor sign-in uses an authenticator code or a single-use backup code after password sign-in.
