# Billing and Access Issues (/docs/troubleshooting/billing-and-access-issues)



New organizations always have Free access. When an action is unavailable, first separate a role restriction from a plan-capacity restriction.

## Check These First [#check-these-first]

1. Confirm the active organization.
2. Open **Settings → Billing** and review the current plan and usage.
3. Check your role in Members settings.
4. Look for a plan-limit notice on the affected item.

## Paid Checkout Was Not Completed [#paid-checkout-was-not-completed]

Abandoned or failed paid checkout leaves the organization on Free. Return to Billing, select the intended paid plan, and complete checkout. Do not expect an incomplete checkout to raise the organization's limits.

## I Reached a Resource Limit [#i-reached-a-resource-limit]

Compare current usage with [Choose a Plan](/docs/getting-started/choose-a-plan).

* Ask an owner to delete an unused QR code, or upgrade before creating another. Deletion stops the QR code and cannot be undone.
* Ask an owner to delete unused media before uploading beyond the media limit.
* Ask an owner to delete unused domains, or upgrade before adding another domain.
* Remove an accepted member or upgrade before inviting another teammate.

Every created QR code is active immediately and consumes the plan's QR code allowance.

## A QR Code or Domain Became Read-Only [#a-qr-code-or-domain-became-read-only]

After a cancellation or downgrade, QR codes and domains above the new plan limit remain live but cannot be changed.

To restore management access:

* upgrade to a plan covering current usage, or
* reduce usage until the resource is within the current allowance

GeoQR keeps the earliest created QR codes and domains editable within the allowance. Ask an owner to delete other QR codes or domains as directed by the app. Only delete a QR code that is no longer printed or distributed.

## Free Analytics Stopped Showing New Scans [#free-analytics-stopped-showing-new-scans]

Free includes 2,500 visible scans per calendar month, counted in UTC. GeoQR shows **Approaching limit** at 80% and **Limit reached** at 100%. Reaching the allowance does not stop QR codes from working.

Visibility resumes at the next monthly reset. If you upgrade sooner, scans that are still within the plan's storage period can appear immediately. Scans already deleted because they were older than the storage period cannot be recovered.

## I Cannot Invite a Member [#i-cannot-invite-a-member]

Seat limits count accepted members, including the owner. Pending invitations do not reserve seats, but the organization must have capacity before another member can join. Remove a member or upgrade.

## Subscription State Looks Wrong [#subscription-state-looks-wrong]

Refresh Billing after checkout or after changing the subscription. If the displayed plan still does not match the completed subscription, note the organization, expected plan, checkout result, and displayed status before contacting support.

## GS1 Export Is Unavailable [#gs1-export-is-unavailable]

GS1 configuration export requires a paid plan. After paid access ends, you have 30 days to download the configuration before export becomes unavailable.
